Hall of Fame head coach Don Shula has been keeping an eye on his old team, with their fast start to 3-0, followed by two losses in a row.
We wanted to see how he feels the team is doing and where they might be headed, especially after young quarterback Ryan Tannehill has been sacked two dozen times in just five games. Shula says you can't just blame it on the offensive line, but on a combination of things. He also believes Tannehill continues to grow and thinks the team will do well.
We also asked him about his recent trip, with the rest of the 1972 perfect team, to the White House, where they were honored by President Obama. Four players did not show up for political reasons. Shula said that while they were entitled to do what they wanted to do, he didn't think there was a reason to not be there. "When you get invited to the White House, I think you have to put politics aside..."
The coach also wants you to know about some things going on at his Shula Burgers, one of them in Delray Beach.
